It is a nice place to sip through a cup of coffee and savour a slice of cake. I like the cakes as they are very light yet delicious. The breakfast buffet cost about AUD15. It is a good deal as you can sample its freshly baked pastries and cakes.
Decadant. It is soft with a mix of white and dark chocolates. It is a heavenly cake. Theme: BakeryPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: Opp Aarons hotelDirections: Near to pier street.. and walking distance from Murray St Mall.

by keeweechic Miss Maudes first opened in Carillion Arcade in 1971. The Smorgasbord Restaurant opened at this location in 1973 and started serving traditional Swedish dishes. The restaurant is fully licensed and open 7 days a week and you can choose from a smorgasbord and carvery or a light a’la carte menu. The hotel was then opened next door and has since been awarded 'Best Mid Range Accommodation in Australia' 2002 and 2001. There is also a pastry shop for sandwiches, cakes, savoury snacks and cappuccino. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: 97 Murray St

Miss Mauds is a very casual, friendly restaurant. There is more than one around Perth. It is famous for it's smorgasborg meals (as much as you can eat). There cakes are to die for and there coffee goes down pretty well. The prices are very reasonable. An ideal place for the whole family.
The Smorgasborg Theme: OtherAddress: Pier Street Perth is my favourite one.

It is difficult to eat in Perth: there are too many good restaurants. Miss Maud is characterised by a good standing and a high quality food. It gave me the opportunity to taste the Aussie food and appreciate it.
Miss Maud's today special. Everyday, there is a special dish including four of five parts of the menu. It changes everyday and gives you the pleasure to taste the whole menu in one week. This is one of the better places to eat in Perth City. The atmosphere is good, there is a band playing and the service is good too. The restaurant was almost fully booked when i was there. The best thing abt it is that it's affordable.
Tried lasagne there.. it's nice and portion's large for one person. Leave a Comment Theme: ItalianPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: Opp Aarons hotelDirections: Near to pier street.. and walking distance from Murray St Mall.

As the last time I came to Perth, you just can't miss Miss Maud's - it's become a Perth institution now, with a lot more outlets than the one restaurant I remember from years ago. It's a Swedish Restaurant - we didn't go to the main restaurant but one of the sub outlet cafes, where I didn't think the ambience was as good - a bit too like a normal bakery,
I enjoyed my coffee and lemon cheese cake very much. I wouldn't necessarily say that much looked Swedish though, perhaps more German with the strudels. (the one we went to was one of the smaller outlets, near the Mall)
