This is really a "must do" tip. The Moon and Sixpence Pub is a quaint Irish pub in Murray street, top end of Murray Street Mall. It's a great place to have a few drinks and people watch. It also has quite a good lunch menu & usually a good evening starter. We've had quite a few lovely vt meetings here - check out the pix inside. I love the outdoorsy atmosphere and ambience. It also has some good entertainment in the night and a quaint little dance floor to kick your heals up. Leave a Comment

London Court by Xemx London Court was opened in 1937. It's a very popular tourist attraction. Its Tudor-style facade provides a contrast against the modern skyscrapers and shops. Inside the arcade you can also shop for a variety of goods such as souvenirs, jewellery, books and gifts. My favourite shop is the one that sells teddy bears :-) At the Hay Street Mall entrance, there is a blue-faced clock which chimes every quarter of an hour. There's more to see inside the arcade...it's very pretty. Leave a Comment

City Buildings with Reflections On Swan River by Mikebb, 2 more photos South Perth is a beautiful place to visit and an added bonus is the magnificent view across the Swan River capturing the Perth City landscape. With the Swan River sparkling and a blue sky the city buildings sparkle. It is a good place to gauge the size of the capital city of the State of Western Australia. Looking down London Court... by bryINpoland London Court was built in 1937. It mirrors what England looked like during Elizabethan times. Time period roughly of 1558 to 1603, when Queen Elizabeth I, ruled over England. Also known as the Tudor England period. The quiet street, located Between Hay Street Mall, and St. Georges Terrace. London Court is filled with small shops, and wonderful Atmosphere. Take the time to appreciate the architecture and its detail throughout the court. From the Clock towers on either entrance, modeled after the "Great Clock" of Rouen, France. Or the Statues of Sir Walter Raleigh and Dick Whittington, that face each other from the far sides of within the Court. It is hard not to appreciate this little get away within the skyscrapers of Perth. Watching these clever people make Roc Candy is something you will truly enjoy. They truly enjoy making these beautiful hand-made candies and do it with lots of fun. They entice you with a sample as soon as it's possible to try. So it's still warm when you taste it. You won't be able to resist buying a bag. There are so many flavours to choose from. I bought the mixed bag. You can also buy the offcuts. The big bulky bit at the end that they hold on to when they twist and turn the length of candy. These are sold at a cheaper price, but who cares when it tastes the same. You can have them made into personal messages, for corporate or wedding events. If you're really keen even for someone you love, but they'd have to love lollies. Check out the website... The city from Kings Park at night by sery Anyone visiting Perth has to go up to Kings Park which is virtually right next to the city and check out the park and the views. You can see right over Perth, the freeways below, the river, north and south of the river, and the view is absolutely spectacular. People love going up to Kings Park for sight seeing on the views, or just to have a picnic surrounded by beauty and a peaceful feeling. If you ever come to Perth, include it in your itinerary. Leave a Comment Address: Next to the city.Directions: On the ocean side of the city, right next door to it. When travelling along the freeway just hitting the North section, Kings Park will be directly on your left.

Alley behind the building by sunset_gal These 2 buildings frame up the photo beautifully. It's taken in the city centre behind a building by the name of London Court. Perth Cat Buses by aussirose They are called the Blue, Red and Yellow Cat and cover all of Perth and up to Kings Park. These Cat Buses are free and you can jump on and off at your pleasure. Definately a great way to see Perth. Also, any bus that you catch within Perth city you can get on free. Say for instance you wanted to go from one end of St Georges Terrace down to your accommodation at the other end, you can jump on pretty much any bus and pay nothing. Leave a Comment
