The Perth Explorer is a great way to get around the city and see some of the attractions and historic sites. The trams are wooden replicas which have been built locally to resemble the first trams which operated in Perth in 1899. On your tour you will visit Kings Park, the Burswood Casino, Barrack St Jetty, the Perth Mint, shopping areas in the city and other major attractions. The tour is 90 minutes long and has a full commentary. You can purchase your tickets onboard and no booking is necessary. The first trip stops at 306 Murray St, then proceeds to Kings Park. There is a city stop at 565 Hay St. Office : The Perth Tram Company 21 Mayfair Street, West Perth W.A. 6005 Telephone: (08)9322 2006 Email:ptramco@iinet.net.au Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Perth has a great transport system. You can purchase a family all day rider ticket to hop on and off the trains, buses and ferries for under $10 for 2 adults and up to 5 kids for the whole day. Now that's value for money!! Leave a Comment

This is a Free City CAT (central area transit)service that runs around the main roads in Perth City. If you want to hop a cat service and get around, the nearest stop would be the one in the city opposite perth train station (next to Perth tourist centre). CATS come in various colour: RED , BLUE, YELLOW, Orange (fremantle). So do check out the board at the stops for location drop offs. Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

Getting around Perth and its outer skirts is made easy by its Trains and Bus system TransPerth. There are 4 train lines, Fremantle, Midland, Armadale, and Currambine. Ticket prices vary by number of stops, zones, and discounts for students and senior citizens. Tickets are easy to by with the automated machines, and stations are easy to locate with zone maps located throughout the stations. Trains run about every 15 minutes and are ussually not very crowded. Buses are also easy to catch and tickets can be purchased on board. Drivers are very nice and always saying "no worries". Prices vary on the route u are taking and there are also discounts available. IMPORTANT TO KNOW, YOU MUST PUT OUT YOUR HAND FOR THE BUS TO STOP. Otherwise they will just zoom on by. For more info on fares and all their routes, visit the following link to their website TransPerth. Leave a Comment

In Perth center there is a free bus service called CAT. These busses show up every five to ten minutes and bring you anywhere in Perth center up to Northbridge. Going to Fremantle and other surrounding cities can be done by lightrail. If you are planning to go further then i would reccomend a car. It gives you much more freedom. Leave a Comment Theme: Train

The CAT : There is a special free bus service, the CAT (Central Area Transport) which runs approximately every 7.5 minutes until 6pm and every 10 minutes until 1am around the greater city area. The buses are identified being silver and having a panther on them. The colour depicts the route. Leave a Comment

Guess what?! You can travel free on any bus or train within the Perth city centre's Free Transit Zone. The free Central Area Transit (affectionately known as CAT!) bus service also operates around central Perth. There are 3 bus routes - Red, Yellow & Blue (you can easily identify the bus stops with their associated CAT route colors). The bus-stops have smart info technology that will tell you when the next bus is arriving. The routes will make a complete loop. Usually, the Perth City Maps will reflect the bus routes/stops. Red CAT - East-west loop through the central business district and West Perth (Mon-Fri, 6.50am-6.20pm every 5mins, Sat-Sun 10am-6.15pm every 25 min) Blue CAT - North-South loop from the river through the City (Mon-Fri, 6.50am-6.20pm every 7min, 6.20pm-1am, Sat 8.30am-1am and Sun 10am-5pm every 15min) Yellow CAT - East-west loop between City and East Perth (Mon-Fri, 6am-9am every 10min, 9am-6.20pm every 15min, Sat-Sun 10am-6.15pm every 35min) I love that these CAT buses are stepless hence they are accessible for wheelchairs, elderly/children and prams!! The buses can tilt at an angle towards the kerb for easy boarding. I really wish we have these in Singapore. Leave a Comment Theme: BusPhone: 13 62 13
