SHOWBAGS!

This is a trap for locals as well as tourists. All the shows, travelling fairgrounds etc sell 'showbags', a brighly coloured plastic bag filled with goodies, lollies(sweets), toys, plastic trinkets, collectables etc. The better they are, the more they cost. Some of them are quite good value, but others are a rip-off.
Children young and older go crazy for them at the Royal Show where they have all the best ones), saving their pocket money for weeks and nagging their parents about how many they can have. Yes, not if they can have one, but how many they can have! I have seen families spend $100s on these bags at the Royal Show.

Fun Alternatives: If your children don't know how desirable showbags are, don't let them see them!
Look out for the stalls (sometimes an open sided truck), and walk very quickly away from them, muttering about getting ice creams or fairy floss(candyfloss/cotton candy) to distract them.

This ?? (don't quite know what to call it) was commisioned by Rockingham council for a vast sum of money as a tourist attraction.
Many locals think of it as total waste of money.
It's on the main road into the town close to the tourist informantion board.

Unique Suggestions: Have a look as you go past, but it's barely worth stopping for.
