Stopped here for a quick brunch to satisfy everyone's growling stomachs.
THE VIEW, THE VIEW!!!
What a great way to start getting to know Rottnest Island! With that view, what could go wrong?
On a clear day, you can see the twin towers of the Perth skyline in the distance.
The tearoom is your typical diner meet school canteen. You place your order, pay for it and then collect a pager. When the food is ready, the pager beeps and you go and collect your chow.
I just have one question: If the place is so self-servicing, why do you have so many crew wandering around??
Service was alright, nothing to go over the moon about, but nothing to pick apart as well.
Favorite Dish: My fave as always: The Aussie Breakfast!! You simply could not screw up with this dish.

The hotel has a couple of bars and restaurants. The Hampton’s Sportsmen’s Bar & Chargrill is open every day from 11.00am. They serve lunch and dinner although snacks are available all throughout the day. Their feature is a charcoal grill along with a buffet salad bar. Captain Jacks is a lounge bar. It is quiet and relaxed and is open from 11.00am.

You won’t miss the Dome Café right on the water’s edge and a couple of minutes from the main jetty. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as good coffee and light snacks. A nice relaxing place to just sit and watch the boats coming and going.

Rottnest has a couple of fast food outlets in the form of Red Rooster and Subway. Red Rooster offers fresh roast chicken along with chips, salad, wraps and burgers and baguettes. Subway is a fairly healthy choice in the fast food stakes with low fat sandwiches on their own baked rolls and made up of your own selection of meats and salads while you wait.

The Bakery has fresh bread and loaves, cakes, cream donuts, biscuits and slices along with hot food and pies. There are tables and chairs both inside and out or you can take out. There is also a Gelato bar with a large range of gelato’s to choose from or have a gelato milkshake.

A place to be seen considering there are so many blokes and sheilas crawling around the place in the barest of clothings, showing off their perfect bodes and even more perfect tan.
Stopped here for a quick snack - doughnuts, drinks, coffee and pies before our flight back to Perth.
Decor was standard. There are tables within the bakery but most folks opted to sit outside (despite the flies) in the shade and enjoy the great al-fresco.
Service was alright...manned by a very young team...teenagers that looked like that they had just strolled passed puberty.
Favorite Dish: The standard snack fare - nothing too outstanding to kick me off the chair.
I tried the Rosemary Lamb Pie - I dunno, do they bake it at the bakery? Thought I detected a faint wisp of refrigeration!

Can't go past that view and aroma!! A trip to Rotto is not complete unless you stop by the Rottnest Tea Rooms for lunch!! The food and view are spectacular. Even if you can't afford a full course, why not just order a couple of entrees. We did.....and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The Dome is famous for delicious coffee, cakes, and take-aways. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a contemporary Mediterranean-style menu.
Favorite Dish: With sweeping views of the ocean with the mainland as a backdrop this Dome Cafe has one of the ultimate positions I know of. My favourite dish is the hot pancakes and refreshing just squeezed orange juice!
