    Rottnest Airport

Although there is an airport on Rottnest I wouldn't recommend hijacking a 747 and demanding to be taken there. On the other hand, if you have a Cessna this could be a better way of getting there than the ferry. Make sure to wind the elastic all the way up first though.

There is a daily two-hour bus tour which departs from the Visitors Centre. The Bayseeker bus service also takes you to the island’s bays as far as the isthmus, Narrow Neck, 3km from the West End. You can also take a scenic from the island to get a birds eye view.

Oceanic Cruises from Fremantle is the cheapest ferry to Rottnest. If you book the 8pm return ferry is works out $10 cheaper as well. It departs from B Shed and the web site is below.

    Me with bike

There are no cars on the island (apart from official ones) and cycling is an ideal way to get around. There are several bike hire places.

    Rottnest Express Ferry

Ferries to Rottnest leave from a few places in Fremantle. I caught one from 'C' Shed near the train station.
The cost was 45 AUD for a return ticket and I think the journey time was about 45 minutes.
