Rottnest Island has its own little cinema or movie hall which can hold around 250 people. The cinema is open all year with a variety of latest releases showing. Any information can be obtained from the Visitor Centre.

There is a general store at Thomson Bay settlement and at Geordie Bay. Any of your general food requirements can be bought at these stores and reasonable prices. You can pre-order online before you arrive and they can have the goods delivered to your accommodation free. This includes liquor.

There is plenty of snorkelling to be done around the island and you can hire the equipment once you get there. Without travelling too far around the island you can find good snorkelling at The Basin which is a short walk from the Settlement. If you are arriving by private boat to the island, you will still need to pay an admission fee. This fee goes towards the conservation of the island. If you are a regular visitor, then there are moorings and jetty pens for hire and these are administered by the islands Marine and Boating division.more
