Popular Warnings or Dangers | Miscellaneous Warnings or Dangers Tips | All Tips (5) There are two species of snakes on Rottnest Island. The first being the Southern Blind snake. They are a non-venomous snake, but will bite if provoked like any creature.
The second snake, the Dugite, is a venomous snake, and is part of the Brown Snake family. This snakes bite can be deadly, especially to young children or elders.
Again these snakes will only bite if they feel threatened. Be careful when walking through the bushes throughout Rottnest. Watch your step and if you do come across one of these 2 snakes, just respect there space. Leave a Comment
