Hotham Valley Tourist Railway has a depot in Pinjarra and you can take a ride back into the past on a steam train into the hills of Dwellingup. Pinjarra also has Western Australia's only heritage rose gardens, featuring 364 varieties of old fashioned roses. There is a Heritage Walk Trail along the Murray River bank to a Suspension Bridge which is imbedded with mosaic tile artwork which describes the Aboriginal, pioneer, youth, railway and forest heritage of the area.

This is one of those charming old General Stores which takes you back in time. They offer fast food, local fruit and veg, petrol, crafts and collectibles as well as a decent lunch comprising a Ploughman's Lunch, Sawmiller's Supper or choose something else off the menu. Don’t leave without your helping of apple pie and cream or just a cappuccino or hot chocolate. If you are a cyclist then you can also get your cycling supplies and spares here.
