 | State of Western Australia Shopping | Tips 1 - 8 of 8 | | One of the best place to shop in Perth city, this whole street are full of shops, cafes and even street performers(murray street). Lots of souvenier shops here, great cheap t-shirts and key chains. Go to London court too, its a small little alley in hay street Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: hay street and murray street

I was looking for Emu oil for my Grans and walked into "Australia the Gift" souvenier shop... And got rip off... I paid 38 AUD for a small bottle of Emu hot rub which I can get it for 22 AUD elsewhere... (From what I heard from my friends, it can even get lower than 22 AUD)
It's what not to buy actually...
You'll surely be rip off...

In a fairly nondescript shed we located by referring to one of the local brochures we chanced upon a choice jewellery shop, John Miller Jewellery design. Bob Hill was John's father and Leaf Busch (working with him) is his son. The latter was born in Broome but spent time in Germany which may explain his name. The changing of names through the generations was something I didn't explore. The artistic pieces however, were something we did spend time poring over and if you're seeking something unusual to put on a finger or drape around a neck, you could do a lot worse than check this place out. "Quirky" is a word they use to describe some of their work and I would concur with that sentiment. The grandfather's sketches also adorn the walls. Where else can you find three generations under one roof and, they do like a chat!
Depends on the piece but there is a wide variation. Leave a Comment Theme: JewelryAddress: 136 Marrinup Drive, Yallingup

The gift shop at Cape Lavender has an amazing selection of lavender based products. You can get anything from body products, aromatherapy goods, hand embroidered linen, hand painted glassware, beautiful coffee table books on lavender as well as tempting fudges, biscuits and lavender blended tea. Their chef also produces their own range of lavender jams, chutneys, mustards and other produce. Anything you can think of is available and produced from the lavender grown on the property. In Perth, the city centre is great for shopping. Both Murray and Hay streets have pedestrian only malls and the city centre is criss-crossed with arcades, many of which are underground. London Court is a much photographed mall. At one end of this shopping court, St George and the dragon do battle above the clock each quarter hour. Down the other end, knights joust on horseback. Of course all the suburbs have great shopping malls, some with creative markets with unique crafts and art. . Leave a Comment Theme: Other

This studio was fabulous. The furniture is unique and each piece is numbered and signed by the makers. They also use woods which have been reclaimed from old bridges and warehouses and also stamp the name of the building along with the year it was built and when it was taken down. Their workshop is set up in the old Grain Store and they use traditional joinery methods in the manufacturing with a lot of handwork involved. Jah-Roc has won endless awards over the years and this all began with two surfing buddies who wanted to create something very different. They cleverly combine timber, stone and iron to create functional art. Also featured in both galleries is fine art and craft created by over 130 other leading Australian artists and craftmen.
