Usually during the last weekend in November the members of the WA Model Aircraft Sports Centre hold the Wings Over Whiteman event. Here you will see model aeroplanes, helicopters and jets perform acrobatics and stunts as well as producing some amazing speeds. They hover and loop and thrill both the young and old alike. Food and drinks are available as is a childrens play area including a bouncy castle.
The days commence at around 10.00am through to about 3.00pm. There is a fee charged at the entrance to the field although children under 16yrs are free.
Location: WA Model Aircraft Centre. Entry to the centre is located between Gnangara Road and Whiteman Park’s Beechboro Rd entrance. Whiteman (25 mins north of downtown Perth).
