They are your good old fashioned local butcher shop – something that is not seen so much of anymore with the large supermarkets taking over. They offer a fine selection of gourmet meats, kebabs and free range poultry. You can also pre-order BBQ hampers. They are even open Sunday!
This studio was fabulous. The furniture is unique and each piece is numbered and signed by the makers. They also use woods which have been reclaimed from old bridges and warehouses and also stamp the name of the building along with the year it was built and when it was taken down. Their workshop is set up in the old Grain Store and they use traditional joinery methods in the manufacturing with a lot of handwork involved.
Jah-Roc has won endless awards over the years and this all began with two surfing buddies who wanted to create something very different. They cleverly combine timber, stone and iron to create functional art. Also featured in both galleries is fine art and craft created by over 130 other leading Australian artists and craftmen.
