Dubbo - Western Plains Zoo.

by Sweetberry1

Dubbo’s famous Western Plains Zoo is situated on 300 hectares of grass and woodland and is home to over 1000 animals of 100 species from all over the globe. It is home to Australia’s only African Elephant herd and to endangered species such as the Black Rhinoceros... Dubbo city is quite large, I have traveled through here many times, and usually stop here for a break, sometimes overnight. There are many great eateries, lovely motels, and the people of Dubbo are easy going and friendly.

Sunshine Coast

by Sweetberry1

The Sunshine Coast is a lovely region of Queensland. Included are cities of Maroochydore, Caloundra, Malooloobah, Noosa, and the Cooloola Coast. This is also where you will find "Australia Zoo" and Steve Irwin, with his cuddly crocks..Located in Beerwah, which is just over an hour drive north of Brisbane. (Bruce Highway)

Tip Photo
Airley Beach

by Sweetberry1

Airley Beach is a beautiful holiday destination. Lots to do and see here, not to mention it is one of the gateways to the Great Barrier Reef. This place has some gorgeous beaches, where you can dive or snorkle, many walking trails for those that like to hike, and many other activities... Sailing, shopping, great nightlife. There are lovely resorts, hotels, or if you are travelling on a tight budget, there are many hostels and caravan/camping places.

Tip Photo
The Gold Coast...

by Sweetberry1

Even though it is thought to be very touristy, I love visiting the Gold Coast.. It is a place all it's own, and has so much to offer.Seaworld, Dreamworld, Movieworld, lovely beaches, resorts, the hinterland... Lots of wildlife, and the shopping is great. An hour north, is Brisbane, and a little way south, you have Tweed Heads, and Byron Bay..

Tip Photo
Sydney...

by Sweetberry1

Sydney is Australia's largest city, and a must see for visitors coming here. This city has everything, great places to see, lots to do.. and a very good nightlife.... But all our cities have a great nightlife.. ;-)And Cronulla, (A few miles south of the City) has beautiful beaches, and the best seafood I have tasted in a long time.

Tip Photo
Museum...

by Sweetberry1

Museums are always a great activity, one of those things that is very different in all cities and countries. This Melbourne Museum is relativly new, and very different from the one we used to have, in Swanston St. Located in Rathdown St Carlton (I think) and right next door to the Old Exhibition Building, which is one of my favorite old buildings.

Tip Photo
Another lovely Cathedral..

by Sweetberry1

Although much smaller than St. Patrick's Cathedral, it is no less inspiring...This one is on Bourke st.... Just down from Parliment House. I think it was St. James.. but not absolutely sure of that.

Tip Photo
St Patricks Cathedral...

by Sweetberry1

St Pat's in Melbourne, is a beautiful Cathedral. Located on Swanston St. Melbourne, and very easy to get to. You can't miss this impressive building if you are in the main part of the city. (Flinders St. Station area)

Tip Photo
Collins St. Gallery.

Collins Street Gallery opened at 411 Collins Street, Melbourne in 1988... Showing works of contemporary artists, key exhibitions and stockroom sales. Apart from representing paintings by accomplished artists, the Gallery exhibits some contemporary sculpture.Collins Street Gallery is affiliated with the Sussex Street Gallery in Sydney and provides access to work exhibited in either gallery.

Tip Photo
Uluru - The Rock...

by Sweetberry1

This is probably one of the most visited places in Australia. Especially by visitors from overseas. In a way it is 'Off the beaten track' as it is so far from the coast and the major cities. If visiting this place, please respect the wishes of the local people.
