Air is the main way to get to Australia. Sydney and Melbourne are the mainm entry points and Quantas is the national airline of Australia.Because of the size of the country, (only slightly smaller than the continental United States), air is the main way of getting to key points. Some Pacific Cruises include Australia in their itineraries. For shorter distances, train or bus service is available.

If travelling from other Australian cities to the Gold Coast, catch a plane to Coolangatta Airport which is only 25 minutes to the centre of Surfer's Paradise. Once on the Gold Coast, buses are the way to get around or hire a car (remember we drive on the left side of the road!). Surfside Buslines is the main bus line on the coast with buses to just about anywhere on the coast. The prices are very reasonable.

Best to stop over if flying from europe, its a bloody long way!Train, bus, car, plane....i used all. be prepared for long long jouneys!, this is a huge country!..i spent 48 hours on a bus! and only covered 3/4 of the east coast!...the greyhound and macaffertys are the main bus companies. internal flights can cut out time but can miss out on scenery....which can be boring at times!....but the best way to travel is by car/camper. i done the east by camper van, great fun! and the west in a car. having your own flexible transport is the best way! if youre splitting costs with others, it works out cheaper too!Picture : Sleepy Koala

The easiest way to travel around australia

by adnan1977

Like other countries around the world, the best way to travel is by using the train. You can go anywhere by uisng it and furthermore the price is reasonable. You can catch it from the airport.

Bus

by didgeridorien

If you're low on cash, the bus is the way to go. Flying will cost th same amount of money, but you won't see anything of Australia by flying. Good companies are Greyhound and Premier.
