Go to Castaway Island. I was reef walking one day and found two blue starfish, a sea cucumber, and something in a shell that hopped off my hand. I love beachcombing. The beautiful scenery and friendly staff at Castaway.

You'll need to check out the Coral Coast as the scenery and people are fantastic. Plenty of accommodation along the way to. If you are with children best place to stay along the coast (In my opinion) is Naviti Resort. The resort has great facilities for all the family from the huge pool to the golf and tennis. It now has donkey rides for the kids along with a great adventure gymnasium. Definately the people there. The Fijians must be some of the friendliest people around. Always have a smile on their faces....it's great.

Only touristy thing I did was take a shotover jet at Nadi. It was a relatively expensive ride, and I don't know if it was worth it. Still it was fun, so I recommend it.

This is one of my most favourite photos I've ever taken. It is on Mana Island, Fiji. I still can't believe my little point and click managed to capture this scene so beautifully way back in 1988.

Fiji only survives on its imports..everything is shipped in including fresh vegetables besides their root vegetable crops.

Woohoo!!! The Catch!!!

by DreamerDan

The native Fijians are wonderful people....the non native indians not so. The pic is the result of the fishing trip. I donated my catch to the local village, its a 100lb yellowfin tuna.
