Had multiple problems with things being stolen while camping and while in a B&B. Be very careful what you leave behind, as it may not be there when you get back!
Watch out for the stores that are owned by Indians(Indians from India)... They tend to be anxious to sell you something!
The large cities of Fiji can be dangerous. The government has suffered numerous coup de etats over the past couple years. Just be cautious, probably no big worry.
Don't panic if your boat is not coming, it's the Fiji Time (always 1 or 2 hours to late) but that's the way of living.
I went to Fiji in december and it was summer. It rained a lot in Suva. A LOT means pouring rain every day and all day long. It wasn't really the same in other parts of the country.
If driving through fiji keep an eye out for horses cows and dogs on the road no-one has any fencing in fiji.
beware of people possing to be working at your hotel ect - they are just trying to sell you things, show you around to the 'right' shops ect so they get their commission.
