If you don't mind the style and comfort in which you travel, flag down a local taxi. They wouldnt pass muster in New Zealand but do get you from A to B cheaply. For example if you book a taxi to go from the Sheraton to Nadi it will cost you $10 but if you flag down a local taxi from just outside the hotel it will cost you about 50c per person. You dont have to look very far to find coconuts. They are scattered all over the sand. Rafi decided to take this coconut and try to open it himself... A little secret - he didnt get very far.. LOL we ended up asking one of the locals to cut it open. Taste's GREAT!! Leave a Comment Address: Plantation Island

Sailing lessons were avaiable, and David really wanted to have a go. I did a week's course in the Isle of Wight, learning to sail, many, many years ago, in fact I even qualified with a Royal Yachting Association's Certificate. However, this was David's big moment. We paid extra for me to be a passenger while he learned. We expected the instructor to stay on the boat with us, but after a few simple directions, he let us out on our own. We sailed off towards Ragent's own private island, did a few nice little turn, and then David delivered his new-found speciality: underwater sailing! Somehow he manage to steer the catemaran downwards, water started to cover the top, we were getting deeper and deeper into the sea. Of course, the bouyancy of the boat means that it did "pop" up to the surface again after a little while, but it was an interesting experience! Leave a Comment

Going for a little walk at night, we wandered down to the deserted beach, which wasn't so deserted after all. Looking closely we could see hundreds of little crabs. They were quite amazing to watch, sliding sideways along the sand. Leave a Comment
