    Maupiti airport

The Maupiti airport is located on a motu across the lagoon from the main island. If you have made reservations at a pension then they will arrange for a boat transfer. Otherwise, you can take a taxi boat that comes to the airport for each flight arrival.

    Bike

If you want to rent a vehicle, your only option is a bike. You can bike around the island in about 30 minutes. You have to pay 1000 CFP (8 EUR). You can ask your pension/guesthouse to take care of it. When you are situated on a motu, they will be waiting with the bikes at the quay.

    Island hopping made easy!

Air Tahiti can get you to the island of Maupiti 4 times a week.

Flights arrive from Papeete, Raiatea, and Bora Bora.

The airport is located on a motu, so you'll need to get from the motu to the mainland, or to another nearby motu, by boat. All hotels and pensions pick up their arriving guests........some for free, and some can charge as much as 2000 CFP.

    First glimpse of our motu

The ride from the airport to your destination, either on the mainland or another nearby motu, takes just minutes.

The ride takes you through the beautiful lagoon and scenic mountain landscapes that surround the island.

    Airport check-in counter

The airport is very basic. It's an open-air building with a small counter and a couple of benches, that's all. Make sure you get to the airport one hour before departure of your flight.
