Favorite thing: Raiatea has a partially paved road that encircles the island for about 100 km (62 miles). It follows the contours of the deeply indented coastline and offers magnificent views over the lagoon. You can drive a long time without seeing any houses or people.

Favorite thing: we jired a small boat with a group of friends and a few beers and went sailing to a motu at sunset, even had time before the rian for a swim !

A: if I remember HERTZ is downtown Uturoa all others are at airport so it's a good walk, but there are also taxi there, short ride by car.
