Sails: beachside restaurant

by bibas

sailsrestaurant.co.ckbeachside restaurant hidden in between the high-rise of Outrigger & Reef Hotels, but actually run by Guam Plaza Hotel just atop the hill . mixture of a beach bar, live band and restaurant . w/ tables outside on the beach patio also . nice place to hide in for lunch between the unforgiving sun . our good Japanese-Italian friend who works at this beach, Bill, regularly eats here and recommended to us .however if you're Shopping (as U should be) : after Shopping at DFS, head onto The Plaza . and after you're done at The Plaza, come out towards the beach and voila ~

Pia Marina Hotel: pig-out time

by bibas

yep Buffet at Pia Marina Hotel : it's grab-all-U-can-eat time folks ! yep, right in between Micronesia Mall & K-Mart, so go there for lunch . good selection of a 'bunch' of food for $12.99 each, open 7am ~ 9:45pm .

Route 66: good ol'American diner

by bibas

while you're at the Micronesian Mall : drop in at the 'Route 66' for a taste of a true hamburger at an all-American diner . especially if you're NOT from the mainland USA /or/ have that 50's/60's nostalgia . sorry, I feel I didn't make sense but I'm trying to get this section over w/ to get onto the Shopping section 8)

at the Mall: Food Courts

by bibas

Food Court at Micronesian Mall & Premium Outlet Mall .OK stop throwing Latte Stones at me for this, but where else in Guam can U find so diverse food booths all in one place . besides, an eatery in the middle of a mall is a good place to reconsider your Shopping list .

eating in Guam: for starters

by bibas

OK, U wanna Shop, lie on the Beach, go siteseeing, experience all sorts of water sports AND try nice cuisine too ? Einstein don't say so, 'cause TIME is limited . and that's why food comes towards the end of the list at my site . but NO, it doesn't mean U gotta starve like the POW's during WW-II here . it just means : find a nice place to eat in between the Shops & beaches 8) so, if I may, just a /few/ recommendations : press 'all restaurants' above(sorry .. after I got finished w/ this page, it got to be a full-blown restaurant section .. well, will eat, go Shopping !)

El Asado: Korean style BBQ-Yakiniku

by tedandtina

Excellent and fresh meat and seafood for grilling at the table. They have free pick up and drop off service to the local hotels. Service is good, though it is a buffet. Meats and other dishes are constantly refreshed and filled. The bone-in marinated rib ,eat tastes so good when it is grilled. The crab legs are delicious, too. No butter sauce, though.

Don't get caught

by chriske-5

When in restaurants make sure you get the local minue as the tourist minue will cost more then the food is worth. There are many restaurants to choose from on the island from Koren to getting a burger at Burger King. If you do go there you do need to eat some local foods. I don't know if my spelling is good on this but here goes.Ponset, red rice and lumpia just to name a few. It has been so long since I was there I can't really remember what was what when it comes to the food.

Curry Kabob: Indian Food

by zirakzadeh

Like most of the restaurants, it lack ambience. It just has your basic chair-table set up. However the food is again excellent. Their Rose flavored Yogurt drink is excellent. All of their vegetarian dishes are well spiced and not too salty. Overall, excellent food.

The King and I: Thai Food

by zirakzadeh

There are many excellent Thai restaurants on the Island. My favorite is "The King and I" in Tamuning on Ypao Rd next to the English Pub. All of their dishes are excellent. They also make the best Thai Ice Tea of all the other restaurants.

Pojo's: Quick Guam Food

by JenNJohn

Pojo's is great for quick local food. It is located in the villiage or Agana, sort of a fast food restaurant but with island foods. We went here quite a bit if we were having a craving for Guam fiesta food but didn't know of any fiesta's going on.Best thing is if you call them in advance they can do large quantity dishes for you to take to a fiesta or bring to a potluck. My perfect meal at Pojo's would be skewred BarBQue chicken with red rice, and lumpia if they have it.The best part would have to be the freshly made, WARM tortillas. I would pay just about anything to taste those again.
