Umatac

by mskwan

If you are heading south along the west coast, past Agat, to the village of Umatac, you may want to stop by Cetti Bay and Fort Soledad. You will know you are at Cetti Bay when you see an underwater mural at the road side parking. And Fort Soledad is just a bit further south of Cetti Bay. It's a peaceful spot for sunset.

Latte Stone Park

by mskwan

Located in Agana, Latte Stone Park is worth a short stop. Before I saw the real Latte Stone, I saw many of its replica as souvenirs, building motifs, flower stands, etc. The Latte Stone Park gives you a brief history of the ancient Chamorro architecture. These chubby wine glass shaped stone structures are support columns for ancient housing.

Chamorro Village

by mskwan

The coconut crab is legendary, it is said to be able to crack open a coconut with its powerful pincers. Hunted as a delicacy for human, they are now an endangered species. However, you can see them in the Chamorro village in Agana. Watch your fingers.

OK this is the OTHER side of the cliff from Two Lovers Point, this time overlooking Agana Bay . there is just still something COOL about cannons still intact protecting an ancient harbor . another mighty site for snapshots afront the old Governer's residence .Directions:from Tumon Beach, go south after Agana Bay

Two Lovers Point

by bibas

where a culture-torn couple chose to end it all down the high cliff during Spanish rule . no doubt THE most romantic story till U cross over to Hawaii for 'From Here to Eternity'.[the bad] it is absurd they put a fence around the exact spot where the lovers supposedly jumped off .. ofcourse to cash in a few bucks .[the good] but if U pay and go out on the artificial patio : a grand view awaits, overlooking the whole Tumon Bay where ALL of your hotels can be seen in a single shot .Directions:just North of Tumon Beach

Two Lovers Point...

by Trina2383

If you could visit one place on Guam to take in the island's beauty, culture, and history in a single breath, go to Two Lovers Point. This startling cliffline in Northern Guam, overlooking the glimmering Philippine Sea, is the site of an ancient Chamorro legend. The legend tells of two lovers who, forbidden from being together in life, leaped to their deaths from the cliffside so they could be together in eternity. Today, with culturally-inspired architecture, sweeping landscapes and dramatic overlooks, the site immerses visitors in all the drama and history of that ancient Chamorro romance.
