  • There's this certain bus service that goes around the island, and they usually pass by tourist spots and hotels. There are, I think, 3 sets of buses that goes around and you usually see one on the streets - but of course, they only stop on bus stops.

As for the tickets: there are one way tickets, then a whole day pass and a week long pass. So if you're staying in Guam for a long time, the cheapest way to tour around the city is by walking and taking the bus from one place to another. Although the bus doesn't cover all the tourist spot, the most that they could do is to drop you off near the place you wanna go to and you could probably ride a cab.

  • The island is very small but some people rent cars anyway. If you do drive be prepared to sit in traffic for long periods of time and the first three people at a stop light tend to ignore it. Sit for a min before proceeding to ensure that all the traffic has stopped in the other lanes.

This is how I go to work everyday. Just kidding. But there are a lot of paddling clubs on Guam, and the teams often go off-island for competitions.

Plane and Continental is the biggest airline in Guam, you can stop in Hawaii and then Guam or Narita, Japan and then Guam, or from London to Hong Kong and then Guam!!
You have to rent a car it's really easy to get around and that way you can go to places on your own and see things that maybe you won't see with a tour company!

  • Continental is one of the major carriers, if not the major carrier, to the island. From the mainland, you can get there via Hawaii or via Tokyo. The Continental flights are roomy! And you'll probably have your own TV, too.
Rental cars are best...although most streets are paved and yes, even named on the maps, signage is at a minimum.

  • Rent a car. You can rent a car in Guam for as little as $25/day, but a cab ride might cost you $50 one way.

When you arrived Guam, you can see several different kinds of buses on the street, so it's convenient to look around Guam! You have to charge 2 usd per time to take some buses, one of them is Gray line! And then, there are some buses between hotels and DFS, it's free!!! You can take a taxi from your hotel to DFS, then just go back to your hotel by their buses!!!
Taxi fare in Guam is very expensive, so I advice everyone to take a bus to go around some spots!

  • if you are going to be there for more than 3 days, I suggest renting a 'Boonie Car'. These are 25.00/day U.S., as the taxis are exspensive, and the bus system is very unreliable.
