Savai`i Things to Do

We stayed at TANU BEACH FALE twice. It was that much fun!
The first time my husband and I had a beachfront fale and enjoyed the experience of never leaving your bed the whole day, because it is right on the beach! It was so wonderful that we brought our teenaged kids along the next time and they had great fun exploring every nook and cranny of the jungle and mountainous natural island.
The ferry ride from Apia (the capital town of Samoa) is quite an experience, but only last an hour. Chief Tanu will send his bus and pick up truck to fetch the guests and from then on you are in the care of one of the most important chiefs of this sparcely populated volcanic island. His family regard you as one of their own and from your welcome coconut drink to your entertaining in-house fia fia singing and dance festival, nothing is overlooked for your comfort and enjoyment. Tanu has about 50 guests and everyone joins in the fun and it is very sociable there.
