When we visited the copramakers on the Butaritari atoll, they brought us fresh pandanus to eat and coconuts to drink from. In addition, they cooked a meal from local vegetables and fish caught in the lagoon. Typically enough they did not charge us anything for this, we were guests!

We had a pitstop with some local people when our hired moped broke down on our way to the ticket office on Abaiang. While we were waiting, they gave us fresh coconut to drink, again free of charge. While the adults fixed the moped, these cute kids entertained us with their puppies :-)
Favorite Dish: Nothing is better than fresh coconut when you have pushed your moped somewhere close to equator!
