    Harrah's Sky City Casino opened to the public in February 1996. It is the largest casino and entertainment complex in New Zealand. The main casino level has a total area of approximately 1,000 square metres of gambling space with approximately 80 classic gaming tables and approximately 900 slot machines. There is a keno lounge and a two-up pit in the premises. In addition there is Harrah's Club exclusively for its members. For those who are hungry and thirsty, there is a bar and two restaurants to serve customers. Other facilities in this massive complex include a hotel, a theatre, conference, convention and meeting rooms, 6 levels of car parking facilities, numerous restaurants and Sky Tower which is now completed and opens to the public complete with four observation decks for visitors.

    Visit the Skytower , take a ride to the observation deck, you will not be disappointed. The photo is taken looking through part of the floor - thick glass - if you look closely you can see the toe of my trainer, just to prove I am standing on the glass. It is a scary feeling at first, but you just have to do it ! You have to enlarge the photo to see my toe! - bottom right corner

    At 328 meters, Auckland’s Sky Tower is the tallest tower in the Southern Hemisphere. On a clear day, the views from the 220-meter high observation deck are outstanding, revealing Auckland for the sprawling mass of humanity that it is, but also revealing surrounding volcanoes and offshore islands. On the downside, the city’s most famous landmark – the Sky Tower itself – cannot be seen. Given the free views available from other places in the city, all of which include views of the Sky Tower, I’d recommend saving your $15-$20 and giving the Sky Tower a miss.
