Victoria Park Market, Auckland

The Victoria Park Market didn't have much worth checking out. There are a few booths selling souvenirs such as t-shirts and Maori necklaces. There are also clothing, shoes, crafts booths and a food court.

Victoria Park Market is on the site of an old rubbish destructor built in 1905. There are plenty of the shops at the market both of the tourist, craft and artwork type as well as shoe shops, homemade candy etc. There are 3 licensed restaurants, a food court and small 'nibble' cafes. The shopping centre overlooks Victoria Park and is within reasonable walking distance from the city centre. On a ramp leading to an upper level there is a 'small' The Celebrity 'Walk of Fame'. On the weekends there is live entertainment.

Some of the goods here are not sold anywhere else which makes shopping here quite unique.

Open 7 days a week from 9am to 6 pm.

this is a small market near the Skycity Hotel...it is characterized by the tall chimney you would see even before reaching it. we went there at christmas time so there was this little santa claus attempting to climb the chimney. there are quite a number of shops inside. it is quite a good place to get your souvenirs and the shopkeepers are all friendly and willing to help. :D

Even if you do not like shopping, you might want to visit this Victoria Market. The Market has many little souvenir shops as well as nice cafes/small restaurants. It's nice just to walk around and have a nice stop in one of the cafes.

Located across Victoria Park, it is just an easy walk from downtown Auckland.

Good place to buy some souvenirs back home. Some of shop own by Asian and of course you can bargain for reasonable price.

A good place to go to see many New Zealand handcraft shops under the one roof (amongst other small shops)
