Avondale Favorites

Favorite thing: If you are in this part of town during the daytime, take a wander along the street before you have your meal, if possible. It really is interesting and quite a hotchpotch of shops and eating places. One of the older areas of Auckland, Kingsland has quite interesting architecture, for NZ anyway. It's messy and unkempt but some of the buildings have been partially renovated.

Fondest memory: You will see an interesting array of cars as well, European and classic, as the people who like to come here to eat are very "worldly" and interesting. Seems a lot of personal plates as well, perhaps the upwardly mobile city population.
