This place is a real gem! Great for small groups, albeit a little bit noisey but fun all the same. They serve the food to the centre of round tables, on a turntable. Communal meals such as this are fun and usually very reasonably priced.
All the food was delicious and I thoroughly recommend this place, I'll be back for sure.
METRO magazine awarded this place BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT FOR 2003!.
In the photo here, Canton Café is the 2-storeyed building with the wooden framed doors, situated next to Bouchon Restaurant.
Favorite Dish: Spicy battered prawn dish garnished with onions and capsicums.
Scallops were delicious.

We only paid $20 each and that included the wine one of us supplied. That is, he didn't pay for his meal.
You can bring wine or beer into the restaurant but not soft drinks or orange juice as they have that for sale.

Another very special "find" in the Kingsland area, is this place. You will eat authentic French cuising here, and I doubt you will be disappointed.
Summer time sees people dining out the back in the summer garden area. However the main restaurant area is tastefully decorated with lovely French decor and paintings.
Bouchon is an award winning restaurant.

Visually appealing, really tastefully decorated. Interesting too.
But the service was terrible, making us wait too long, even just for initial drinks.
Staff not prepared to have eye contact and behaved like we weren't really there.
Sadly, it didn't used to be like this, but it's gone down lately.

Specialist coffee roasters, they roast blend and grind the coffee themselves. Very nice! Also distributors of their product, but you can enjoy a coffee and muffin here on the premises if you wish. Nice to sit outside in the sun if it's a nice day.
Favorite Dish: Coffee, freshly blended, roasted and ground. Or take your beans home for your own machine if you wish.
