The Auckland Zoo has certainly cleaned up its act over the years and the animals are now exhibited in more humane conditions. The day of the cage has gone replaced with enclosures called Pridelands, Primate Rainforest, Hippo River, Native Bird Avery, The Beach .....its very well set up and one of my favourite places to visit. Make a day of it, catch the tram to the MOTAT and have a picnic lunch at Western Springs.
