Laundromat's in Central Auckland

Laundromat's are not a Tourist trap really but I wasn't sure where the best place to put this info would be! New Zealand is not much of a laundromat type of place so they can be hard to find. Backpackers, Motels and Hotels usually offer laundry services anyway but I thought it may be handy for you to know that there are alternatives. In Fort Street (Downtown just off Queen Street) there is a small laundromat with drycleaning facilities. It is on the left next to the CBD Cafe.

Sky Tower

Don't get me wrong it's a fun place to view the whole city from up high. BUT it is expensive to get to the top, and to get to the next level up it costs again. Walk over the glass floors (you can look at the people on roof tops and the street below), it's a little freaky but once you get over the "it's going to break and i'm going to die" sensation, it's fun. If you don't want to sky tower on of Aucklands many volcanoes will also provide a pretty fantastic view of the city (just not from so high up).
