Nautilus Restaurant was a superb experience. We found them situated right on the edge of Tauranga Harbour and their cuisine was devine. The surroundings and view of iconic Mount Maunganui were to amazing. It's definitely the best located restaurant in Tauranga.
Favorite Dish: The Nautilus Scallops were seared in lemon butter, leeks, carrots, Riesling and cream. Felt it was the ultimate way to eat scallops.

I thought the ambience and food were the stand-out points to remember at Cafe Versailles. They actually had French people serving and that made the experience all the more enjoyable.
Favorite Dish: I absolutely loved the free range pork belly. It was perfectly cooked and the best meat experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

The Naked Grape is a favourite of mine and I just keep going back, knowing they will never let me down. I enjoy the food, the ambience and the staff are always friendly and obliging. The place is always buzzing, a testiment that good food and service brings the folks back time and again.
The setting is lovely on the waterfront and on a sunny day dining outside is a real treat.
Favorite Dish: I keep having the French toast. but then its normally middle of the day I am dining here as I am not usually in town in the evenings.
Oh and I nearly forgot, they serve my favourite coffee, Vittoria!! It's worth coming here really!!

During our trip to Tauranga, it was Sarah's birthday, so we went to a nice little restaurant which was not too crowded. In downtown Tauranga, Saturday nights are fairly crowded and so we were lucky to find the Naked Grape wine bar.
Of all places, I was quite shocked that a rugby team was having a meeting, but then again it is the 2000's!
The food was decent, although I was disappointed with how bad a piece of meat my steak was. The sauce made up for it though. I also had the house merlot and it was tasty.

Pleasant, well laid out cafe with great healthy and filling luncheon food and coffee. Outdoor tables and chairs to enjoy the lovely sun.
Nice magazines to read while you eat, and pleasant interiour surroundings make this a favourite stop on the main entry to Tauranga from Hamilton.

One of the best Fish and Chips! and a fantastic place to have it as well, right on the wharf with view of the waters, boats and sea gulls.
