margaretvn Says: This island is an active volcano and a trip out to it is a pretty unique and exciting trip.
littlebush Says: The Whakatane hotel is the only real place to stay in town. Its old, big and pretty comfy. They have dorm rooms for the budget traveller. Also have a kitchen to do your own food! about $25 for a dorm bed!Its very central.
