We stopped in here for dinner as it was a short walk from our hotel, and we were not disappointed with the quality or the price.
The mains were all around $10-15 with good volume, and including drinks we ended up paying NZ $56 all up. It was cheap, but also good quality.

The Gallipoli restaurant at the RSA offers meals at very competitive prices and really savour your tastebuds.
Watch out if your ordering a steak as that is placed one plate and your sides on another.....the steak is absolutely huge and yeah they provide a "doggy bag" for those whose eyes are too big for their stomachs...lol.
Try it out, open for lunches and dinner.
Favorite Dish: The fish and chips with salad, followed by the pavlova and coffee to wash it down.

The ambience of this "takeaway" outlet is that of a no frills eatery, where you order and within 5 minutes it is ready. "Fish and chip" meals for as little as NZ$1 per piece of fish and the same for chips........for you fullas and fullaresses that havent tasted fish and chips or even know what it is, let me give you a quick description...........a piece of fish in batter, deep fried for a minute wrapped in newspaper.
Favorite Dish: Apart from the fish and chips, they do great oysters and chips..............oysters in batter and deep fried. I also cannot forget that with the Chinese name of China Duan, they also cater for Chowmeins and other chinese delicacies.

I drive to work in 8 minutes . After living in Wellington for 18years I now have more leisure time to enjoy 6 National Parks within 2 hours drive but live 10 minutes from the beach.
We spent an enjoyable 24 hours in Wanganui, enjoying what the city has to offer. It's a pleasant place to visit, with enough attractions to keep the visitor busy for a day or two.
