This is the last pump north, so check your tank before going further north to make sure you do not run out of petrol.
UPDATE:
If you have heard a rumour that the petrol station burnt down you are right, BUT it was rebuilt and operational 10 weeks after the fire, so there is still petrol available - no worries!
Also, the good news now is that you can pay by credit card when the pumps are unattended.
What to pay: Usually the same, or maybe a couple of cents more.

The Gumdiggers Park shop has many items of interest to the tourist as well as a good selection of jewelry made from the pertified sap of the Kauri tree.
What to buy: There are a selection of colours of the New Zealand Amber from light to dark; some clear, some cloudy and some with inclusions. The pendants are cut and polished into a variety of shapes
What to pay: Prices vary depending on size and whether it is Copal or Amber - see the website for an explanation of these terms
