Don't just lay on the beach the whole day, bring your swim wear , some lunch and visit the many beautiful bays of the far north. ie Taupo Bay, Tauranga Bay , Doubtless Bay, Papia Bay etc..... Visit the historical sites at Kerikeri, Waitangi and Russell.

If you have a boat, this is a great place to spent the summer, if you don't you can always tag along we a friendly camper or charter one. Great fishing!.
The photo showed the 12.5 pounds snapper that this happy camper caught ,which is as big as his daughter. He was thrilled and was showing it around.

A short hike up the conical hill at the end of the bay you will see the memorial. When we were their it was overgrowth with weeds but I like the memorial. Beautiful sculpture as you can see from the photo.

Matauri Bay is about 30 mins drive north from KeriKeri. Liked most bays in the Far North Region it has a beautiful crescent white sandy beach and clear blue water. This is surrounded by lush green...
