There are no garages out on the Tohe, but here are the ones nearest the offramps and how to get to them.
From the Tohe, take the Waipapakauri ramp.
Go to the end of the road where it meets state highway 1.
Turn Right.
Trvel south until Awanui. Just past the junction of Highway 10 is a BP on your right.
About 15ks
From the Tohe, take the Hukatere Ramp.
Go to the end of the metal road then follow the sealed road until it meets state highway 1.
Turn left and the garage is just along there on the right.
About 10ks
From the Tohe, take the Te Paki Ramp.
Follow the stream then the metal road until you come to a junction which is state highway 1 and still metal.
Turn right.
Follow the road - you will soon hit the seal and the garage is along there on the right.
About 15ks
What to pay: Apart from the garage at Awanui (waipapakauri ramp) expect to pay up to 15cent a litre more than anywhere else.

There are no shops out on the Tohe, apart from a few at the southern end around Ahipara, so stock up in Kaitaia
