Saltwater Cafe and Bar is the Saltwater Lodges Bar / Night club. Most of the backpackers that stay here use this club to wind down at the end of a adventure filled day.
This is a great spot to grab a drink with some friends and discuss the days adventures and plan the next days fun. Also you can meet and talk to some fellow backpackers and residents of Paihia.
Some nights the bar has a Karaoke competition with a large selection of songs on the playlist. Just pick one and start singing. They have free drinks to give away and some other great prizes.
Dress Code: Paihia being a summer spot for travellers and with the weather being so great there is not really a dress code. Shorts and singlet goes down rather well with the rest of the patrons, but some were wearing pants and a shirt.
In other words pretty much what every goes.
