Danger Danger! is a restaurant/nightclub which is very popular in downtown Whangarei. Danger Danger's famous meals consisting of a huge juicey steak, salad and fries all for the reasonable price of $9.90. They also have many other dishes on offer ranging from a 2 for 1 deal consisting of 2 burgers or pizzas for $5 on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, right through to curries, roasts, and seafood platters, all at varying prices. Oh yeah, kids are welcome at this place for dinner or lunch. Later in the evening it turns into an awesome nightclub for people of ages 18+. It has a dance cage for the more outgoing people as well as a dance pole and a moderate sized dance floor. During the winter months you will find many people in the club watching sports (rugby in particular) on the big screens where they can enjoy a beer by the generous sized fire. There are approximately 10 brightly coloured pool tables (purple, red, blue, yellow etc) for those of you who consider yourselves sharks. They also have an air hockey table, and a couple of arcade racing games. The music varies from rock - top40 - hip hop. The total inside of the building is made of native new zealand woods, in particular Kauri. And it also has a lot of memorabilia adorning the walls. Over all I would say it has the nicest ambience about it and definately worth checking out if your looking for a night out on the town.
Dress Code: The dress code is reasonably casual. Tidy jeans are acceptable. No sneakers.
All nightclubs in the Whangarei area are free of charge for entrance except if they have a band playing.

Whangarei has loads of different places to go to in about 500sq metres of the city centre. Every Friday night in the summer is always busy but especially Christmas Eve. There is The Dickens pub, The Red Iguana, Spinner, Danger Danger, Killer Prawn, Rhinoz just to name a few.
You could easily visit all of these pubs if one didn't suit your fancy as they are all within three or four minutes walk from each other.
Start your evening off with a great meal at Revas down by the marina and then head into town for a good night of drinking, dancing and meeting people.
Dress Code: Most places you'll get in wearing casual clothes without to much hassle. Don't wear sneakers or ripped jeans though.
