Peggy Gordons is run by Bertie - a real character. Your typical Irish Bar, with live bands, quiz nights and general good Irish atmosphere. Great place to go to meet some locals who are down to earth. Join the street party on St Patricks Day - always attended by the locals from he time it opens to the time it shuts.

Upstairs, Club 55 is a great nightclub for those into house music. Has couches, great lit bar with rest of nightclub dimly lit. Cosy but heaps of room. Has balconey for outside smoking (no smoking allowed in NZ bars). Pumping from 10.30pm onwards. Mark and Stace own the place - young, nice guys - they also own other bars which I will list also.
