Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: We visited Lake Taupo around the middle of winter, and yet it was still fairly temperate. I had a good sized windshielding jacket and a pair of jeans. I would also recommend a beanie or something to keep your ears warm.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Readily available in this area.
