Napier
Everybody told us we should not miss Napier. That beautiful village with wonderful old buildings.But what I felt there was really different:They wanted to get my last penny and would even take my underwear to get money out of me.You can see some of the beautiful buildings - but only with a guide, only at special hours. You don't get any information where these special houses are, so you cannot find them without the guided tour.You are hungry? Try to find an other place to eat or eat what you've got with you in your motorhome's fridge!It's only taking out money of your pockets! Take a walk through the center of Napier, it's nice and you can find a few enjoyable facades. Near Napier is a nice beach where we stayed with our motorhome.As this was my only experience of a tourist trap in the whole North Island - take any road off there and you'll get somewhere nice and beautiful!
