Luggage and bags: Cambridge, like most places in New Zealand is pretty welll equipped with most things. Depending on your stay, I would say that one large suitcase and a day pack is all that you would need.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: I have just come back to Cambridge after spending the last few years in Saudi Arabia. I strongly advise anyone coming to stay in Cambridge that they wear some sort of thermal vest under their clothes or a singlet to say the least. The winter's can get rather chilly and I reccomend that a pair of warm gloves and a hat too at times. Clothing is pretty much the same in New Zealand as it is in many other parts of the world. A great thing for the Ladies is that the Bendon Lingerie comes from New Zealand and you may be able to find all your under garmets at a much cheaper rate especially if you find a Outlet store.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: These are readily avaliable in New Zealand. It may pay to check with your own Doctor on any medicines that come under a different name over here. If you are in doubt ask a Pharmacist. There are three main pharmacies in the town of Cambridge.

Photo Equipment: All avaliable here

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: All avaliable

Miscellaneous: New Zealand like many other countries has different names for various items of clothing. If a person asks you here if you own a pair of togs, they are asking you if you own a swimsuit. A jumper is a sweater, and sneakers are sandshoes or trainers. I will add more to this in my New Zealand pages soon.
