Sky City Casino Hamilton is a little bit different to the one in Auckland. Firstly there is no tower where you can get a great view of the city but it is still nevertheless part of the Sky city chain.

All the favourites such as Poker, Roulette and the Gaming machines can be found here. One can easily get caught up with the fun of it all and depending on their luck can continue to play until the early hours.

I usually only take in about $20 (NZD) with me if I want to go and have a play and after that I leave it. One evening a friend and I walked away with roughly $300 between us so it was well worth it... but like any casino don't expect that you are always are going to win it big, it really is just pure luck.

Upstairs from the Casino is Hamilton's ten pin bowling alley. The casino also has a bar and restaurant on site. I have had the buffet dinner twice and to date I have found all of the food to be fresh and it is replenished regularly especially when the restaurant is busy. There is also an outdoor area where you can also eat which is a nice backdrop that faces the Waikato River.

Dress Code: Smart casual but no jeans are allowed. You must also leave any backpacks behind the counter with the staff before entering and they will take your details off you and then you give you a chit which you give back to them while they store your bag away.
