Vinnies has been in Raglan for over 14 years and has forged a good reputation during that time. Although not the original owners, not much has changed. Residing in an historic Kauri cottage, you can buy local arts here as well. A Café by day, and Restaurant by night, there is something to suit most here. An easy short walk from the Hotel, and close to shops and centre of town.
Vinnies is fully licensed to sell alcohol and is a BYO restaurant - Bring Your Own wine, where you pay a fee for 'corkage'.
OPEN 7 DAYS
Hours:
Monday 8am till 2pm (Coffee and Smoothies only)
Tuesday - Sunday 8am till late.
Favorite Dish: All the food is great, but I particularly enjoy the fruit smoothies they serve.

A great little Ice cream shop and Kebab place on Bow Street. They have fabulous waffle cones with your choice of traditonal "flavoured" icecream, like my two favourites, Hokey Pokey and Orange Choc Chip, as well as real fruit icecreamm which they blend up whislt you are there. A must do on a hot sunny day.

Great little cafe in the main street of Raglan. A mix of hot food off the menu as well as from the cabinet. Lots of seating but not too crowded which was great. Art on the walls was of a high quality and was for sale.
A good place to chill out and get out of the sun.
Favorite Dish: Carrot and Zuccini slice.

Nice sunny both indoors and out. Nice street tables and plenty of room inside for winter dining.
Great espresso too!
Favorite Dish: Breakfast - Pancakes with berry compote and caramelised apples and syrup. $13.50 almost too much for me to eat.
Other features on the menu:
BREAKFAST:
Big Breakfast - $18.50
Vege Big Breakfast - $18.50
Eggs Benedict with mushroom, bacon or salmon - around $16.50
Various eggs b'fasts.
LUNCH:
Soup
Steak Sandwishes
Salads
Fritters
Burgers

Great small selection of food, something to suit most people. Caters for both a meal or just coffee and snack. Day and night meals, entertainment in evenings on certain nights.
Great music and very nice ambience, set amongst the 1970's decor. The atmosphere is energetic and interesting, giving the place a lively and enjoyable feeling, making eating here an "experience".
Tongue 'n Groove is licensed to sell alcohol and has a very nice wine and beer selection. It is also licensed as a BYO restaurant - Bring Your Own wine, where you are charged a nominal fee for "corkage".
Prominent position on the main corner of town, across from the Hotel.
I found all restaurants maybe a dollar or two more expensive than you may find in the larger cities, but considering this place is slightly remote, could account for that. Tongue 'n Groove was no more expensive than the other restaurants in this town, however.
OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK.
