Ironique is a great little cafe with a bit of a difference. The cafe has been decorated with an iron theme - the bar is made with corrogated and wrought iron, the light fittings and glass racks are wrought iron, the door handles are each one half of a pair of garden shears (the blade bolted to the door with the handle for you to grab) and in the toilets the wash basins are old shovels set into the wooden counter while a mirror has been framed with a couple of old hack saws.
Favorite Dish: You can buy a quick snack or choose something from the main menu. Ironique has a nice atmosphere for you to relax in and enjoy the wine and the coffee. On my last visit here we sat outside and had a quiche and salad - the salad was a bit average, but the quiche was generous and tasty. If you're in Te Aroha and want a sit down and a drink, this is definitely the place to make for.
