I had never been down to the beach at Pukerua bay before today, despite having passed through this small town literally hundreds of times.

You should be able to see Kapiti Island in the background of one of these photos.

This is not really a tourist attraction at all, but the name will be of amusement to Japanese speakers, as Muri means 'impossible' in Japanese.

The station was closed in 2011.
