There are many good areas where restaurants are plentiful. Wander from one end of Ponsonby Road to the other, visit Parnell Road around Parnell Village, the Viaduct Basin downtown in the city, where the America's Cup was held and take your pick of any cuisine or just let one of the many aromas choose for you. Some of my favourites Iguacu Café & Bar - 269 Parnell Road, Parnell Brassiere style food with 4 stylish up-market bars. A great varied menu available including pastas, seafood, lamb, salmon – to name but a few. Parnell Village is found about 1.5 kms (1 mile) east of city centre. An entire suburb of Victorian timber cottages that have been preserved from developers.
