These delightful small natural hot pools lie on the southern shores of Lake Rotoiti, to the west of Picnic Point. Only accessible by water, you cannot drive here.
Approaching the springs you see a small complex nestled into the side of the clliff, surrounded by bush and trees. It becomes clear why you cannot drive to this place
There are three wharves to accommodate the boats as this is a popular stopoff for people on the lake.
Maori have always considered the waters of Manupirua Springs, to be healing for rheumatic conditions, and many Maori and Pakeha still visit for this reason.
As well, there is a barbeque and picnic area, beside the water.
Soak in the various temperature pools and jump in the lake to cool off. Really special little spot, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
A small fee of $7 per adult is payable.
    Pool hours - 8am to 10pm daily
