I wrote to this outfit 3 months ahead and said I was bringing my wife on a surprise hoilday to Christchurch, and could they accommodate us for her birthday dinner on September 19th 2008
They assured me we would have a wonderful dinner.
What a laugh.
They did not have the main that I had pre ordered, so I requested lamb - I got fish.
It took 1 1/2 hours for my main course to arrive - shocking.
Another 30 minutes for my dessert to arrive. I ordered an Apple Tart. What I got was an Apple Turnover, something you can buy at a very basic bakery.
By then it was too late for coffee - we left without it.
I wrote to Tramway Restaurant a week later asking for an explaination - and now at March 4th 2009 I am still waiting to hear from them.
A really pathetic experience, and the most grumpy staff I have ever had the misfortune to be served by.
Favorite Dish: The water was nice - that's all.
