 imstress Says:  di mare is a cafe where you could have a cup of coffee and enjoy the sea breeze at the pier.You could have an awesom view of the ocean and borrow a book from the library to read.If you are hungry, just order some finger food or snack from their wide selection on their menu.

 pepples46 Says:  from Lichfield St...City Center CHCH....Busterminal....Bus 5, direction South Shore, New Brighton and Aranui..they are two Bus companies....the Leopard, blue Busse and the tradional RED Bus..both find their way to New Brighton and right to the Beachor by Car, around 5miles... 

 pepples46 Says:  second hand store, little bargains to be had. some antigues, home improvment items, old china and porcelain from yesteryear.New Brighton's old Cinema/Theater complex actually waiting for someone who would bring it back to its former glory! some bargains for stamp collectors... 

 pepples46 Says:  it took him around 1 1/2 hours when he put the finishing touches and pauashells in, he showes an amazing concentration with that stick in hand.he does that every sunday at New Brighton Beach at low tide..weather permitting. 

 pepples46 Says:  can give you some grief....this is not Hawaii or Australia, we get some pretty sharp easterlies flashing right across the ocean onto the Beach..the southerlies from the Antarctic can rave along also bring a jumper..just in case.in the wintertime, pretty crisp air and some... 

 pepples46 Says:   just your bathing suit warmshowers provided..sometimes anyway :-)bring towels, shampoo and a good sunblocker and if you come early, you don't even need that..bathing suit, only you and the old seagull around

 pepples46 Says:  Golfers have packed their bags an other carefree morning. the Links Golf is a little tricky though. the Ball soaked with wet, salty air...the flight more unpredictable and there is the wind, on each hole from an other direction
