    from Lichfield St...City Center CHCH....Busterminal....Bus 5, direction South Shore, New Brighton and Aranui..they are two Bus companies....the Leopard, blue Busse and the tradional RED Bus..both find their way to New Brighton and right to the Beach

    can give you some grief....this is not Hawaii or Australia, we get some pretty sharp easterlies flashing right across the ocean onto the Beach..the southerlies from the Antarctic can rave along also

    Unique Suggestions: bring a jumper..just in case.in the wintertime, pretty crisp air and some frost can be expected

    Fun Alternatives: there is none..just sitting it out ^..^

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: just your bathing suit

    Toiletries and Medical Supplies: warmshowers provided..sometimes anyway :-)bring towels, shampoo and a good sunblocker

    Miscellaneous: and if you come early, you don't even need that..bathing suit, only you and the old seagull around

    we ..Rozehill and I hang out at this place, 'the 19th hole' Cafe.....or at the Beach Cafe,having a good Latte and yarn, walking the Dog around QEII...Stadium and the Golfcourse...sooo..if you in Christchurch, why not join us, give us an email.

Sat/Sun when the Sun is shining there is no better place with picnic on the Beach or bring your kite most days I stroll to the beach or bike..watching the tide come, often the Pacific Ocean is quite forceful, then I take a seat at Library, reading the Newspaper..sipping my Latte,...

    in winter, when the City bears the brund of smog, we have fresh air, sand, surf, good food, great people and good shopping area everything is handy, many shopping item's cheaper and the Beach alway's....here. my Dog Rosie loved it too, long walks on the Beach, a latte afterwards..for her...a fresh bowl of water
